In addition to preventative pet care, we also care about preventative planning. When booking pet-friendly hotels in the bay area and beyond, always make sure to call ahead and let the hotels know that you’re bringing your dog; this can really make a difference for a smoother check-in, and it will also allow some of the more pet-friendly places a chance to prepare some treats for your dog.
Here are a few things to consider when researching pet-friendly hotels in the bay area and beyond:
- Are there any parks or other areas nearby for walking the dog?
- Do the hotels offer any amenities for pets, such as beds, food bowls, doggy bags, dog-walking, etc?
- Are there any areas of the hotel where dogs are off-limits?
- Are there certain rooms that are specifically designated for guests with pets?
